Activity
A special time for others and for ourselves
Date
Monday 10th August
Ages
8-15 year olds
Time
2.15-6pm
Location
St Cuthberts Parish Hall, Dovecote Street, Amble
Details
At AYP, we want to nurture the personal growth of children and young people, while also encouraging them to think about others and develop positive community citizenship. This special afternoon is a way to do both.
Those who register will help to host an Afternoon Tea for some of our local “older folk” – giving them a chance to get out, enjoy company, and have a special social time, which as you’ll know is important and sometimes rare.
Our children and young people will help serve the Afternoon Tea and be around to bring some smiles to our guests’ faces. If any attendees have a musical talent they’d like to offer, please let us know and we can include it in the programme.
As a way to say thank you and give back to those who have helped, once our guests have gone and the tables are cleared, we will run a mini‑session of games and food for the young people who took part.
We have invitations available if you know anyone who may like to come along as a guest. Their own carer or supporter is welcome to attend too, if needed.
A chance to bridge generations and for everyone to demonstrate a positive community ethos.
